We love cats so much, it might as well be official company policy. So when leaving our furry friends at home isn’t an option, we take them in to work with us. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a bit distracting, but I heard that employees at Google practically work in the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory. And if Google thinks that ping-pong and foosball are good for a workplace, why not snuggles too?
Meet Sweet Pea, who is technically my partner’s cat, but whose allegiance is actually determined by who brings the wet food. Sweet Pea came to work with me during the worst of the heatwave this July, before we broke down and got air-conditioning at home.
Our Executive Director, David, brought in his two cats earlier this summer. They spent a good part of their time at the office hiding in various boxes, but Picatsso (GET IT?! Picatsso?) was the first to emerge. This cat has the best expressions!
